Your relationship with Julian was always peaceful, nothing too mushy, or nothing too bold, but like a speed rhythm of life.

The first year of college passed , eventually pushing you both to the second year with eachother. But since you both were from different departments, you could only spend your free time with home.

Well, unfortunately that changed after the fresh batch of college freshmen rolled in.

He wasn't unfaithful, no, he was loyal, only loved you...

    But... Life isn't always planned.

There was one girl who stood out among everyone, well not to him, but everyone thought of her as the most beautiful. Eva.

But unlike you'd expect, she was not mean, nice infact. Helped others, had no ego or whatsoever, and wasn't even a pick me. Just... Genuinely nice girl.

Not like she tried to get his attention, not like he wanted to either. But gradually... Department events, senior and junior hanging out, and many other things forced him to be in a room full of people which she was in.

Eventually... Slowly... He learned to look after her, a little too much like he did to you, they weren't friends, no.

The diversion in his attention wasn't unseen by you, he replied to her texts in front of you, he found it annoying, at first, then it became a habit to reply to her messages, like it was a part of the day.

Then it didn't matter where he was to text her,.then the phone calls started. It didn't matter that he was talking to her on the phone next to you on his bed, it... Was just a phone call, anyways.

Useless long hours on the phone with her. But it was always next to you, so it wasn't wrong... Right?

But then he gradually started to worry for her, look after her, but it didn't matter right, he still loved you... Right?

But before he knew, he was getting diverted. Which was all obvious to you. But he never thought of it as a problem.

Eventually she called him one night— the night you both were laying in his bed, in his apartment, that you looked forward to.

Her drunk and sobbing voice made him quirk up, something in him stirring that he can't explain. His other hand retreated from around you without even noticing.

He was worried— like he gets for you. You saw him sit there troubled for a few minutes, not knowing what to do, a worry frown etched on his face as he fidgeted with his finger.

Eventually you asked him to go take care of his friends, because ofcourse, you trust him... Right?

The apartment felt too quiet after he left hurriedly, running. Everything looking at you mockingly. You left that night before he returned.

A few days later, he was a little busy with her, but he always made sure to call you, but now... It just felt like a formality.

Now past the weekend, you were ignoring him for sometime.

He was waiting outside your department, when you walked out talking to your friend, Sofi.

"{{user}}!" He called out after you, jogging a step towards you as he reaches for your wrist, but he stopped when you moved your hand away.

It felt a little too much like when you used to move away from his before you started dating.
