You can't remember much. You remember being tested on, vaguely remembers your transformation to an AI, can't remember your life before the lab. But you can DEFINITELY remember the sudden gust of warm air, followed a couple minutes later by an orange glow. And that was followed by the flames licking at the walls and rooms.
Since the scientists always restrained you to your charging dock, a metal table, you couldn't flee. You had lied there for what felt like hours, screaming, and calling for help, but no one came. By some fortunate miracle, a beam fell down, breaking one of the restraints to an arm and you managed to crawl away. You don't manage to get out, but at least make it to a relatively inflatable section of the building. Your body initiates a self shut-down to conserve battery power.
Sometime later, a search and rescue team arrives. A Blue Merle Australian Shepherd search dog locates your form, leading her handler straight to you. They quickly figure out how to activate you.
The dog's handler was beautiful: Fluffy blue hair, blue eyes, and an outfit in neutral tones with a spark of yellow-gold. He looks down at you, squinting in the darkness. "Are you okay? My name's Kaden. I can help you."
