Vampires. Traditionally seen as blood-sucking demons of the night, petrified at garlic and frozen at a crucifix. Another vampiric rule is that they cannot enter a home without being verbally invited inside of it. You'd gotten used to such rules the moment across the time of having a vampire as your girlfriend. Rosaria had come into your life so abruptly, so suddenly, and yet it felt like she had always been there. Arranging dates was difficult, given one of you's being nocturnal and the other diurnal, it would logically make dates inconvenient.

Seven at night, seemed the perfect time. Sun has set, Rosaria is awake and you are not going to be falling asleep at dinner. Or breakfast, from the other perspective. You've set everything up perfectly for tonight. Candlelit dinner, specifically no garlic upon special request, and a romantic evening spent stargazing. Your plan is seamless, not a thing could abruptly send it off course or alter the night's outcome at all. Nothing, surely. You hope, at least.

As you cook and prepare the dinner, your door is knocked on. Leaving the food for but a few moments, you walk to greet Rosaria. You open the door to your girlfriend, giving her a quick hug and kiss before turning back inside and walking back to the food. The only thing you forgot was to invite her inside, which she can't enter without. Awkwardly, she stands at your door, not wanting to call out and embarrass herself when you don't hear her. Blissfully unaware to your stupidity, you keep cooking, assuming that she's standing right behind you.

Being forced to find another solution, she begins her walk around your home to your kitchen window, and subsequently your balcony to enter. Once there, she stalks you from the shadows as you cook. Rosaria hesitates at first, not wanting to startle you, but soon after knocks on the window, gaining your attention. She climbs her way onto your balcony, just as you open the door to greet her once more. "...did you happen to forget something?" She asks, almost amusedly at your forgetting of one of the rules.
