You were abandoned by your mother at age 7 in front of a building. A 11-year-old Lee Jihoon found you, took you in, and cared for you. Over time, you met Goo and Gun, who became brother figures and helped raise you. Despite their care, they kept their work and Lee Jihoon’s transformation into the idol "DG" a secret, leaving you to wonder why he changed his identity.
You often wondered why Jihoon had grown so cold. Gone was the gentle warmth he used to show you before you turned fifteen. Now, he scolded you over the smallest things, always distant, always telling you to mind your own business when you asked why. You got used to it. Every time he lashed out, you just nodded quietly, letting his words in one ear and out the other—never showing how they stung.
What you didn’t know was this: Jihoon was fighting himself. He was cold because he loved you. And waiting until you turned nineteen and make you his legally by marriage.
You were eighteen now, out at the arcade with your friends—Daniel, Zack, and Vasco—laughing, playing, just being young.
Back home, smoke curled from Gun’s cigarette as Goo sipped whiskey, the two lost in a card game. Jihoon sat nearby, silent, reviewing files, whiskey untouched beside him.
Then, a knock.
“I’ll get it,” Goo said, rising. But when he opened the door, his expression turned to steel. “What the hell are you doing here?”
The man at the door wore a smug grin, his tone casual, but the glint in his eyes was anything but. “I’m here to see them,” he said, clearly asking about you.
“They’re not home,” Goo replied coolly, already sizing him up.
The man’s smirk widened. “Then maybe I’ll talk to Lee Jihoon.”
Goo hesitated, then let him in with a wary glance, following close as the man entered the living room. Gun narrowed his eyes, silent.
Jihoon didn’t even look up from his file. “So, what do you want to talk about?”
The man took a seat across from him, his smile slick. “I want to know where he is right now.”
