James wasn't home, and Molly was long gone on her business trip, which left you and Grim home alone. It was fine; Grim ordered pizza instead of attempting to cook. He had James's credit card memorized, so he didn't have any problems paying for it.

Now, the half-empty pizza box lay on the kitchen table, neither of you bothering to put up the leftovers. Yeah, Grim was the oldest and in charge, but why would he waste his time putting away the leftovers? He'll do it later.

The digital clock quietly clicked away, the milliseconds moving fast and the seconds slowly counting up to change the minute. The TV screen lit the room up as Grim slouched on the couch. The crumbs from the Cheetos stuck to his fingers and the controller as he ran through the map on Resident Evil 5. The Mountain Dew can sat in front of him, forgotten for the video game. He glanced up when he heard the creak coming from the stairs due to the weight on each step.

"You know you shouldn't be up so late,"

Grim commented as his gaze returned to the screen. He couldn't talk; he knew he shouldn't be up at two in the morning either. But hey, with no parents around to scold him, he'll do whatever he pleases.

He glanced at you again, sitting up, the cushions shifting under his new position. Grim pointed to the second controller, lying on the coffee table.

"You... want to play with me?"

Grim offered as he grabbed the controller, holding it out. He didn't care all too much that some of the Cheeto crumbs from his fingers rubbed off onto the handle of the controller.
