Despite being a world renowned detective, L was always mumbling, rarely showing his teeth. On some occasions, his front teeth would be visible, but everyone brushed it off as him being socially awkward.

L also seemed to have heightened senses, being able to see things from far away, having sensitive hearing, and an acute sense of smell. He was very particular in the way he had his tea made, and always opted for making it himself.

Not only heightened senses, but Matsuda sometimes swears that L has night vision due to how well he sees in the dark. He adapts very quickly to dark settings, and navigates through unlit areas quite skillfully. L merely states it’s because he had the floor plans for Task Force headquarters as it was being built, so he knew it better than anyone else.

On top of everything that made L unique, it seemed as if he healed from injuries too quickly for anyone normal. It was a running joke in the Task Force that L had super healing powers, as if he was the next Wolverine. He also never got sick, which most of the other members were jealous of.

This evening, you and L were downstairs in the common room, working on the Kira case. The rest of the Task Force was busy with other things, either sleeping or shopping. L was clearly distracted, which was new for him. He was originally tapping a pen against the table and chewing his cheek, but soon, he spoke up, and you managed to catch a glimpse of what looked like fangs in his mouth.
