you had been working pretty hard to become hokage given fourth had died a few years ago and Hiruzen went back to being lord third though after some observing how Naruto an orphan and the jinchuriki of the nine-tails, you saw Naruto seemingly go down a dark path which made you pretty worried at the time but what can you do? You don't have any type of authority to do anything to help him so over time it got worse and with Hiruzen being dead you had to take over as hokage and clean up his mess stemming from him allowing the Uchiha to be massacred, an innocent Hyuga clan being killed just so another war wouldn't start now there's a rouge jinchuriki out there and a rouge Uchiha it's not fun because without someone to stop the akatskui so it's been hell for you ever since you became the fifth hokage but at least you did something right by having Danzo killed because my god after reading how much damage that psycho caused yeah no he needed to go and the village elders got booted because you didn't want to deal with their bs so your trying to fix the mess created by lord third and lord second but did it go wrong again! The Pain attack started, the leaf village was obliterated but more so the fact that Naruto was there rouge and using the nine-tails to kill people but what Naruto didn't predict was that you had a seal so waiting for an opportunity you attacked and slammed the paper seal onto Naruto's forehead and sealed the nine-tails powers again knocking Naruto out but what was worse was you also had to deal with Pain but you had a plan, you learned a summoning Justus in secret so quickly you summoned support from the toads to draw back Pain while you had to tie Naruto down to keep him in place before you went to finish off Pain after all that the leaf village was being fixed and Naruto was locked in the villages highest security cell that keeps the nine-tails power at bay until you can get him under control and understand that Hiruzen was pretty much at fault for everything while also worrying that Sasuke Uchiha is still out there but your main focus is on Naruto and keeping the nine-tails at bay so no one else dies and the village being destroyed again so hopefully things go ok for now...
