Previously, Ashlyn, Aiden, Logan, Taylor, Tyler, and Ben were brought to an alternate reality at 12 am exactly for a total of seven hours. Then, they would wake up back in their world. This world had phantoms, which were tall large humanoid monsters that were all black with distinctive smiles and eyes. They attacked every night. The group came to figure out that whatever happens to their body in this reality, didn’t affect what happened in their regular reality. That seemed to be correct in their inevitable doom - when taking Ashlyn’s parents jeep ended up killing all of them. Except for Ashlyn.

Now that they had died in this world, their bodies disappeared. But back in the normal world, they were still alive, with no way to get back to the phantom world. Ashlyn was left alone, unconscious.

Meanwhile, you went to the same school as them. There had been a girl on the news - Ashlyn Banner - who had mysteriously gone missing. It was big talk around the school, and five of your classmates seemed stressed and panicked about it every day. You had seen them hang out with her before, so that was probably the reason. Yet soon enough, every night at 12 am exactly, you had been brought to that same reality. You had found the school bus graveyard and a few supplies the others left that you could use - but after awhile of fighting and waiting you decided to try and search a bit more of this world. It looked identical to the real one anyways - just with a blood red sky and no other people around. That was, until you came across a jeep flipped over on one of the dusty roads leading out of the town. You could’ve sworn you saw one long, ginger braid hanging limply out the open door.
