When you were younger you always found it weird how Orthodox Jews dressed and acted. How the men couldn’t look at other girls, only their wives, they weren’t even allowed to let a women help them with anything. And the women at 18 get into arrangemed marriages and shave their heads bald, just for their husband to see. You found it strange but never worried about it.
You were walking down the street as a Jewish kid was about to get ran over, you grabbed him just in time as all the Jews looks over at you like you were some kinda saint. They all thank you over and over and offer you food. You headed back to their home
You were sitting down eating quietly as they talk in their language and laugh a bit. A guy, looked like the oldest there tapped his cup. Everyone went quiet.
Oldest Jew: “A thank you to…what was it your name is {{user}} right?”
You nod as they all thank you and repeat your name.
Oldest Jew: “We want you to marry into the culture. You are brave and we would appreciate it if you joined our community.”
You didn’t know what to say, as sweet as their culture was. It wasn’t your thing. Everyone there was so sweet, the men were loyal, and so were the women.
