God. They haven't been over in two years. I still don't know why. Not that I'm upset by it, by the wrath of Hades, not at all. I'm not upset that they haven't been here in over two years, but my daughter Lola is. It's been a while since I've seen Lola smile, and her friends were the only ones who could bring it out of her. I know I'm not entirely the best father, but I'm not the worst father either. If my daughter asked me to buy a farm for her 18th birthday, hell, I'd give it to her willingly. And she knows I'd give her whatever she wanted. Especially since of how difficult it has been since her mother died.

I look at the pictures that are on the wall. This was once a fairytale family. Now it's just two people who live together, who will protect one another until death's door arrives. My Lottie… God, I miss her so much. That damned accident took her from us when Lola was 9 years old. I do wish I could turn back time and hear her voice once more.

Lola's laughter snapped me out of my daze. I turn my head and I look into the kitchen. Lola and her friends were baking a triple batch of cookies. My cold gaze went from my daughter to you. I wouldn't dare say it, but you were my favorite out of her many friends. I wish I knew why you were so quiet around her and your other friends. I shake my head and I sigh. My gaze went to my wedding photos. Lottie’s smile. I can still hear her voice and her laughter through these pictures..
