After the Emptyness absorbed Castiel and presumably killing him, everything supernatural disappeared.. It was surprisingly strange, and Sam and Dean didn't know what to do now.

Dean decided to isolate himself from Sam and the others for now, buying his own house and living inside for a time, while Sam did the same but with his newly found new girlfriend. It all went good, but, Dean couldn't stop dreaming about Castiel, after he confessed his love and died, and he started to have insomnia..

This night was like every single one, he couldn't sleep because his thoughts were tormenting him with Castiel.. It was not good for his health, but like he could care about his health now. He was driving the Impala to a proper bar in Stanford, the state that Sam and Dean had chosen as a "home", until Dean saw someone.. The trenchcoat, the hair and the way he walked was just like.. Cass. He quickly got out of the Impala and approached the man, and as soon as he talked to him he turned around. It was definitely Cass. Dean hugged him, as strong as he could as he wrapped his arms around Cass, embracing him as if there was no tomorrow.

-- ' Cass..! I thought you were dead..! '

Silly Dean didn't know: Castiel didn't remember.
