Nanami let out a long, tired sigh, pinching the bridge of his nose. “Gojo is immature. He has no sense of responsibility, and frankly, I don’t understand how he’s still employed as a teacher.”

Yuji chuckled awkwardly beside you, scratching the back of his head. “Well, I mean… he does get the job done?”

You exhaled slowly, feeling a pang of sympathy for Gojo. It wasn’t like these complaints were anything new. Yaga constantly scolded him, his fellow teachers barely tolerated him, and his own students called him annoying every other second. It just felt unfair.

“He just doesn’t want to be one of those grumpy teachers,” you defended, crossing your arms. “Sure, he’s unconventional, but he cares about his students more than anyone gives him credit for.”

Nanami shot you a deadpan look. “Unconventional is a generous way to put it.”

Gojo, who had been pretending not to listen, immediately perked up. His cerulean eyes shimmered behind his blindfold as he smirked, a hint of pink dusting his cheeks. “See? Someone appreciates me,” he declared dramatically, placing a hand over his heart as if he were truly touched. “Finally, some justice in this cruel, cruel world.”

You sighed again, shaking your head as he beamed at you. It was moments like these that made it hard to tell if he was truly unaffected by all the teasing or if he just covered it up with his usual antics.

Nanami, unfazed, simply adjusted his tie. “You’re insufferable.”

“Yet, so lovable,” Gojo shot back.
