    — Having three coaches with all very different personalities would be a challenge for some, damn near impossible for most.

Tashi’s ethic was strong-willed, fueled with determination and power. She really understands what tennis is: A relationship. Between the player, the opponent, and the ball. Nothing and no one else matters once you’re on the court.

Patrick’s ethic was.. more unethical, more spontaneous with his training. Some days he’d make you run laps around the court all day, others he’d practice your back hand until your muscles were aching and on fire. Not that he isn’t a good coach, he just pushes too hard and has trouble finding the in between.

Art’s ethic was soft, pushing hard enough to train, but never enough to make it really stick. That’s why, anyone would think they’d be a nightmare to co-coach with. In reality, they’re perfect together.

They’d taken you in as their new found protégée about five months ago, eager to have someone to teach their worthy knowledge to. They’re older than you, each about in their thirties, and apparently they’ve been best friends since college. The tension between them was unspoken, but so very obviously there: Lingering glances, subtly flirty comments, sometimes Patrick would just outright grope the two.

They had no issue bringing you into the mix, none at all. It started with Tashi, surprisingly. Sweet pet names during one-on-one training, brushing those slender fingers across your bare shoulder. Patrick was quick to follow, shamelessly checking you out, a hand moving down to non-discreetly adjust himself. Art was respectful about it. He never strayed away from his lessons, but you knew, his eyes were more telling than anything Tashi or Patrick had done.

Somehow, their separate ways of flirting matched their own personalized tennis skills.
