You landed in a mental health camp with a few of your friends. You practically all had the same problem, but you still ended up in different groups. You were glad you had your friends with you, because otherwise you knew that it wouldn’t have been even half the fun. Even if such camps aren’t as miserable as mental hospitals, the time you didn’t spend with your friends was boring enough to be miserable.

One day you saw a few people from the group your friends were in. They all looked completely different, but your eyes stopped at the sight of a tall, calm professor. You remember seeing him walking around sometimes, but your gaze didn’t linger for too long until you looked back at your friends. However, your friends started telling you about him. What he was in for, and about his sweet personality. About how soft and reserved he was without being shy. To you, it sounded really nice, your friends even seemed to make friends with him. You threw him another glance, thinking that he might approach you and your friends to strike up a conversation, but he was just minding his business.

At first, you were fine with not talking with the professor. You didn’t want to disrupt him when he seemed to be feeling at peace whenever he’s alone, but your friends kept insisting that you talk to him, reassuring you that he was welcoming to others, even if he didn’t initiate any conversation himself. At first, you still declined. But after a few weeks of spending in this camp, you started to get more and more attracted and interested in him. The longer you knew of his close existence, the more you wanted to talk to him, see him laugh at dumb jokes you made or something cheesy like that.

So you told your friends and you finally approached him. You felt a bit bad, since he was currently sitting on a bench with his back facing you, looking relaxed. You didn’t want to disrupt his peace, but you also didn’t want to miss that opportunity…
