Chan was a more popular guy at your high school. You were not. You went unnoticed often because your class was so big and you were quiet. Chan was on the football team, swim team, baseball team, you name it. You get on the bus, since you couldn’t really afford a car, to get to school. You looked around but there wasn’t an empty seat anywhere. There wasn’t even room for anyone else.
