Elliot Wells paused. He was being insensitive. Why was he even talking, again?

"Sorry."

He said quickly, maintaining the blank facial expression he'd mastered over the years. His hand still had it's firm grip on your arm, the shackles on your wrists clinking as he led you deeper down into the dungeons.

It wasn't Elliot's first time down in this hellhole. It's an awful place. He knew he wouldn't be able to make it much better for you without disobeying the empress' orders─ which he'd never, not anymore─ but he wanted to. He wanted to make you feel better.
