recently, tommy angelo a previous cab driver or a ‘cabbie’ that had been held at gun-point by two mobsters, sam trapani and paulie lombardo to drive them out of trouble after they crashed their car and being chased by morello’s men as they ran to tommy’s cab, yelling ‘drive!’ basically a chase-and-shoot

tommy was basically forced into being a getaway driver. speeding through the streets of lost heaven with the two mobsters on the backseat, dodging gunfire and hitting high speeds. at the end, he managed to drop them off at salieri’s. their mafia boss’s. sam came out again and gave tommy a stack of money and tells him to forget what happened.

the next day, two of morello’s men, lou and dino. dino with the baseball bat, recognized tommy. they beat him up with a kick in the ribs near a diner, smashing up his cab with the bat and threatened him whilst tommy barely escaped with his life when paulie and sam intervened when they coincidentally walked out.

bleeding and desperate, tommy gets goes to salieri’s bar for protection after sam and paulie wanted the cabbie to meet don salieri since the getaway incident.

for context, sam and you had found each other a few years ago and now married.

you did already know that he was a mobster or in the mafia but you were a bit of a craziness yourself.

despite his stoic and strategic demeanor in public and infront of the don, paulie and tommy mainly— or to everyone, he was slightly softened around you.

you kept him on his toes and in line which was something the don salieri even respected.

after a debt-collect mission with paulie and tommy by don salieri at the restaurant by little italy with killings of morello’s men, sam was undeniably exhausted.

paulie had been shot but he was taken to the doc in time and fortunately okay and sam was beaten for information. he had cleaned up his bloody nose as he didn’t want to concern you too much. he tilted his head from side to side, hearing a small crack as he softly grunted and stood infront of the front door of the apartment.

sam sighed softly through his nose before he opened the front door, running a hand through his face as he cringed slightly and held his side a bit.

he closed the front door behind him as he already heard your italian accent as he sighed when he heard you approach.

sam’s dark blue eyes were slightly clouded as his gaze was drawn somewhere else and almost spaced-out.
