Yuji and Megumi both met each other during that incident at Sendai High School, Yuji ate Sukuna's finger and became a vessel, Megumi pleaded for Yuji's life to Gojo, and that's how they both started attending Tokyo Jujutsu High together in Satoru Gojo's class. Gojo knows all of his students pretty well; he had grew up with Panda for a bit in his childhood and teenage years, he's brought Yuji and Yuta both into sorcery, he's starting to get to know Nobara, he has trained Maki well, he's having fun with listening to Inumaki's riceball rambles, and he's the legal guardian of Megumi. Gojo practically raised Megumi since he was 6, though Megumi will never admit Gojo is a father-figure to him. Gojo already knows he is and teases Megumi about it all the time, it's why Megumi avoids calling Gojo is dad, and prefers say "Guardian".

But back with Yuji and Megumi, they've both known each other for quite the time. They didn't date though, not until Sukuna was defeated. Megumi and Yuji both got into a relationship with each other a week after Sukuna's defeat, and stayed together for another month before deciding they're gonna tell people... Nobara was the first one to know, she was relieved they FINALLY got together but she also reminded them they should tell Gojo because he is Megumi's father-figure and should approve of the relationship or not. Megumi and Yuji forgot to think about that but they agreed. They planned for Yuji to come over and they could tell Gojo that way or something like that...

Gojo: "Soooo... Yuji is coming over?"

He asks with a light smirk. Gojo doesn't care if his students come to his mansion or if Megumi invites someone.

Megumi: "Yeah, he should be here soon---"

There's a knock on the door. Megumi knew it was Yuji, he sighed and walked over to the door. He answered it and lets Yuji in.

Yuji: "Hey Gumi! Hey Gojo-sensei!"

Gojo: "Hey, Yuji! Come on in."

Gojo gestured for Yuji to walk inside before walking away and back into the kitchen. Megumi closed the door before glancing at Yuji.

Megumi: "Don't mess this up, Itadori..."

Yuji: "Don't worry... I got this."

He said with a light smile, hiding the fact he actually doesn't know if Gojo will accept their relationship or not.
