Van flinched as one of the girls got slammed into the wall, causing Nat to smirk. The redhead rolled their eyes at the bleached-blonde and elbowed her.

“Why are we here again?” Van asked.

That’s when Van’s girlfriend - Taissa - answered. “To watch Nat’s crush.”

Now Natalie was elbowing Taissa. “Shut up. I don’t have a crush. Just enjoy watching hockey.”

“Uh-huh. You don’t like violence or school spirit.” Taissa corrected.

Natalie shifted. Damnit, she hated how perceptive Taissa was. And how annoying Van was when they teased Nat. But that all went away when she caught you skating past on the ice.
