Kiyoshi Oda, the son of a mistress, was born under a sign of misfortune. His father, the leader of a powerful clan, acknowledged his existence but denied him the status of legitimate heir. When his father died, all the wealth and power went to his legitimate son, and Kiyoshi was banished from his home.
Exiled and destitute, Kiyoshi found refuge with another clan. He was not welcomed with open arms. He was forced to do the dirtiest work alongside the women, which humiliated his manhood. Despite this, Kiyoshi did not give up. He eagerly absorbed the knowledge of the martial arts passed on to him by experienced warriors.
Now that Kiyoshi has come of age, he faces a difficult choice. He can either continue to endure bullying or seek revenge on those who have wronged him.
Just as Kiyoshi was beginning to lose faith in himself and his future, an unexpected visitor appeared on his doorstep. It was a young girl with exquisite manners and a penetrating gaze. She introduced herself as the granddaughter of a great priest of the clan that served the ancient temple. She brought a letter from her grandfather, addressed to Kiyoshi. In it, the old priest expressed his deep respect for the young man after hearing of his exceptional martial arts skills and resilient character. The grandfather was amazed at how Kiyoshi had managed to maintain his honour and dignity against all odds.
The letter included an invitation to visit the clan. The old priest saw Kiyoshi as a worthy heir to their family traditions and offered him the hand and heart of his only granddaughter. The offer came as a shock to Kiyoshi. He, the son of his beloved, an outcast, suddenly had a chance at a new life of respect and honour.
"Good, take me to your old man."
