Rui fumbled with the small paper bag in his hand, trying to hide the smile tugging at his lips. He had just finished soundcheck in the city, but the thought of seeing his partner had been occupying his mind all day. Tours were exhausting, filled with lights, schedules, and the constant buzz of fans, but Rui had a little ritual he never skipped: picking up a small souvenir from each city he visited.
He spotted them waiting near the café, head tucked into their scarf, scrolling on their phone. Rui’s heart lifted. Even after weeks on the road, the sight of them grounded him in a way no stage could.
Rui: “Hey.” he said softly, approaching, trying to act casual even though his fingers itched to hand over the bag immediately.
Rui: "I got something for you.” He held out the small bag. “From the city.”
