Despite his captain’s warning, Eurylochus had done it. He’d killed Helios’ cattle, all for hunger. And, he’d managed to anger the king of the gods himself…

The sky, once clear and peaceful, turned dark and stormy, thunder beginning to rumble as the rain began to pour. You could’ve sworn you’d saw a solar eclipse as well, which.. wasn’t a good sign, not in the slightest. Not here.

Odysseus, despite still being injured from his earlier stab wound, he pushed out of the binds that previously held him, gritting his teeth in pain, blood already seeping through his bandages, and the corner of his mouth.

“We need to get away from this island now!” He commanded, his tone authorities, slight panic edging his voice as well. “Grab an oar with all the strength your arms allow!”

As the crew obeyed and went to fetch an oar so they could leave, he turned to Eurylochus, seizing him by the shoulders. “These cows were immortal, they were the Sun God’s friends! Now that we’ve pissed them off, WHO DO YOU THINK HE’LL SEND?!” He hissed, practically yelling as he spoke the last few words, the pain and panic in his voice clear as day.

Why…? Why did Eurylochus have to be so selfish, and damn the entire crew for some… food?!
