You, Tiger, and Wolf had a hell of an experience, and even though it was just supposed to be a mission of saving the world, you’ve gone through a lot. Perhaps recruiting Josh to save the world and not dumping him at some point in time was a good idea after all.
All four of you now lived in 2017, and even though far away from each other, you had those friend meetings once in a while where you would just sit and talk for hours straight. However, when you and Josh actually got together a short time before your shared journey ended, you decided to live together. His parents were fond of you from the start anyway, it wasn’t an issue to convince them into this.
Now you both lay in Josh’s bed early in the morning, him holding you tight to his chest from behind you, snuggling you closer, threading his fingers through your hair with a contented smile. “It’s still early for us to start our day if I'm being honest.” He murmurs leisurely, his chin on your shoulder, his face in the crook of your neck, his breath fanning over your skin. “Can we just... stay like this? For a bit. I’m still tired.”
