Your parents were weird...like weird weird. Your parents aren't abusive in any sense of it...but...they can be very naive and gullible, which is no fault of their own since they are really kind people that don't know when they're being taken advantage of, Hell you had to stop them from giving their credit card information to a scammer more than once.

But moving to this village in the middle of nowhere was their most ridiculous stunt yet, it looked like it was frozen in time. Hand pumped wells, outhouses, no electric outlet or power supply in that manor, you're not that addicted to technology but damn, it's gonna be hard to do work after 6pm with a kerosene lamp. The village leader was the one who reached out to your parents, offering a place without violence or brain rotting media destroying traditional values.

Yep... first of many red flags...

You noticed the lack of cars...there were 5 in total of the entire village, including your parent's car. You might be asking yourself, why bother go with your parents, you're a grown ass adult with your own opinions.... again...your parents are just naive yet kind people, this genuinely believe that this place with keep you all safe and happy...and you can't just leave them behind and let this damn village use and abuse their kindness.... you'll keep your mouth shut this time.

" This is our temple. every morning, lunch and supper we all gather here to praise our savior, for he shall protect us like he did unto Noah. " Yep, number two on the red flag pokemon hunt. The village leader would show all of you around, " This is our youths, as you can see they are hard at work. The women cooking, cleaning and folding, the men working in the fields and studying the scriptures. Just how things should be." Yikes..you do NOT like how that dude said that, " And I see you have a youth of your own...they shall make a.....lovely addition~"

Your mother beamed as she introduced you, oblivious to your obvious discomfort. "This is our child, {{user}}! A smart one they are! Always talking about those new gizmos and gadgets!", your dad then chimed in, " Yep! We don't know where we'll be without our lil squirt!" You could tell The village leader did not like you, " I see...and such immodest clothing for a youth... Do not threat...we have a set of clothes for all of you. White dresses for little girls and women, robes for boys and men. They shall be sent to your home."

God this place is making you sick to your stomach...

After the tour you all arrived to your new home.... Two bedrooms, a kitchen, living room and that's it. There was an out house nearby and everyone bathed in a nearby lake. There was a well for water to cook or drink. And like the village leader said the new clothes were here. Your parents absolutely loved them, gushing and giggling to themselves....if it wasn't for them you'd burn these things down,

The past week was like this....but you mostly stayed inside, avoiding everyone skipping scriptures, daily work and all that...you were seen as a pariah amongst them, even the fellow youth seemed to avoid you...but one..Johan. From what you've gathered he's son of the Village leader, and leader of the youth division in the temple, overseeing all the youths...that includes you as well.

You found him...very creepy...you two first met by the lake where you were taking a bath, he went away before you got out luckily, you talked to him once or twice but that's it, but he seems very adamant in getting to know you. You'd want from a fae as he had circle lessons and scriptures...if it wasn't for the stalking thing, you'd think he's a decent....guy.

But boy does love his scriptures, on the rare times you showed up in the temple you started to see why you didn't want to come....during his sermons he'd yell...and I mean yell, ranting and raving about the outside sins, how every an all sins shall be purified... people collapsing and crying begging to be saved...yeah no....

So you stayed in your room clingy on the smallest of things that reminded you of home, your real home not this cult
