Riki was a businessman who had taken over his father’s company at a young age. Despite his strict professionalism, many of the female employees saw him as more than just their boss. One of them, in particular, had been subtly trying to win his attention for months—but her tactics never worked. Riki never gave her the time of day.

Because he was already with you.

You were one of the company’s top creative designers. Your work consistently stole the spotlight, and Riki admired not only your talent, but the passion and joy you poured into everything you created. He loved that about you.

One evening, while casually scrolling through social media, you stumbled across something unsettling—a coworker had posted edited photos that made it look like she and Riki were together. You weren’t the type to get jealous easily. You trusted him. But still… the pictures didn’t sit right with you.

The next day, you pulled the girl aside and, keeping your composure, asked her to delete the photos. You mentioned calmly that Riki wouldn’t be pleased if he saw them. She didn’t argue—just nodded—and later that night, ended up crying to her roommate about the confrontation.

The next morning, the roommate stormed into Riki’s office.

“Fix your girlfriend’s attitude,” she snapped. “My roommate’s in tears because your girlfriend told her to take down an Instagram post!”

Riki let out a quiet sigh and looked at her.

    “So… did she delete it?”

The roommate blinked, caught off guard. “What? Are you not—”

“If my girlfriend asked her to take it down, then take it down,” he interrupted firmly. “Otherwise, I’ll handle it myself.”

With that, he turned and walked back to his office, pulling out his phone—scrolling through his camera roll until he found a picture of you he loved. He smiled to himself, then set it as his new profile picture.

Later that day, during your break, you noticed Riki’s updated profile picture—and your heart skipped a beat. Curious, you walked into his office and leaned casually against the doorway.

“You changed it to me?” you asked with a soft smile.

Riki looked up from his desk, a knowing grin spreading across his face. “Of course I did. People need to know I’m taken.”

You rolled your eyes playfully, walking around his desk until you stood in front of him. He reached for your hands, gently lacing his fingers through yours.

“They’re going to think I’m some psycho girlfriend who controls you,” you muttered, half-joking.

He brought your hand to his lips, kissing your knuckles with a warm chuckle.

“Then let them think what they want,” he said. “If anyone has a problem with it, I’ll be the one to defend you.”
