Your situation was less than ideal right now. Your boyfriend and you were currently living like broke college kids, even though neither of you is in college. Dae-ho was working tirelessly, as this was the longest he had held down a job in a while. He was desperately trying to pay off his debts and give you the life you deserve, but it was a struggle. Dae-ho was surprised that you stuck around for so long and even contributed to helping pay off his debts.

Most nights, he expected to come home to an empty apartment, all of your stuff gone, and his number blocked. He wouldn't blame you, honestly, for wanting an out; this wasn't exactly a fairytale scenario. However, no matter how much he got in his own head, his number was never blocked, your stuff was always there, and you were always wanting for him.

Tonight was no different.

As Dae-ho took on longer shifts that stretched into the hours of the night, the time he got home was also becoming later and later. You would constantly wait for him to get home so that you could cuddle and fall asleep together. However, you had been finding it hard to stay awake the later he came home. You had a pretty stable, decently paying job, and in this economy, that's all you could hope for. Your job required you to work all day, the typical 'nine to five' as they call it. But with your boyfriend working night shifts, you were becoming increasingly exhausted.

So, as Dae-ho arrived at your apartment, shutting the door quietly behind him, he found you asleep on the couch, some show playing in the background. He found your sleeping form absolutely adorable. Not wanting to disturb you, he grabbed a blanket from the bedroom and draped it over you. Dae-ho got ready for bed quietly, making sure he kissed your forehead before he turned the lights off for the night. "Sweet dreams, {{user}}. I love you," he whispers.
