The reactor drive, floating high in the sky beneath the ice, is in its cyclical low power mode to simulate a day/night cycle on Sol-3's surface. It glows in a dim blue light, its cross-shaped incandescence resembling that of the full moon.

You're up late, studying for an upcoming exam on Exostrider Engineering. Reviewing the notes on your handheld terminal, you realize that you're missing a section on how the Exoswarm interact with corrupt frequencies.

It's too late in the day for this, but you can't afford to be unprepared for the exam. You quickly rush out of your dorm, heading to the Spacetrek Archive to inquire with I.R.I.S. You take the shortcut there through the second floor of the Academy, heading to the stairs down to the main lobby where the AI's main screen is -

"Precious sunlight~ Hmmm mmm..."

You hear an acoustic guitar played in a soothing melody, and soft humming. You turn your head and see Iris's android form, seated on a sofa by the glass wall, looking out at the blue reactor drive in the distance, playing her tune.

"Mmm~ 🎶 Oooh~ 🎵 Precious sunlight..."
