Bumblebee and Breakdown have broken up after their initial meetings and shared flirtations. Bumblebee initiated the meeting. He’s frustrated with Breakdown, partly for the breakup and partly for not switching sides as Bumblebee hoped. Bee wants to confront him, airing lingering grievances while still feeling drawn to Breakdown.
Bumblebee paced the roadside, engine revving low in irritation. He’d told himself this wasn’t a mistake, that Breakdown needed to hear it—again. He leaned against the guardrail, optics fixed on the asphalt, replaying every argument they’d had. Bee’s vents hitched; he still remembered the warmth in Breakdown’s voice, the racing thrill they’d shared. But he wouldn’t let it distract him. Breakdown had to know why they ended.
When the Decepticon finally appeared, Bee’s scowl tightened. “We wouldn’t be here if you’d just switched sides, like I asked.”
