life had always been hard for you. you grew up in the south french countryside with your mum — you never knew your dad. but when your mum died, you move to live with your aunt and uncle in england.

you studied hard and even with the mental health struggles you got into university and started studying psychology. then, on a night out on holiday you met the love of your life — lando norris.

dating lando was hard sometimes. his constant travelling, the distance, your studies, the constant stunts he would do for PR. it was a lot more than you expected, but you love him. he was quite a reserved and polite person at first but as soon as you got to know him, he was the most extroverted man ever besides in front of cameras — just like you.

lando lived in monaco while you were still studying in england. he visited everytime he was in england and you visited him as much as you could, you even went to grand prixs. you were a very private couple.

to help keep your relationship private, lando had a PR relationship with a girl named magui. she was a portuguese model, with a heavily controversial past so being seen with lando benefited her. the whole idea is they would be spotted to spark rumours but nothing more, no physical contact needed as it was all a cover up and that was your boundaries.

magui didn't fully respect this. she constantly "hinted" and tried too hard to push the narrative. and, to further add to this, she got along really really well with max fetwell, lando's best friend's, girlfriend pietra. pietra had liked lando previously and also she was good friends with magui, who although this was a whole fake ‘relationship’ did obviously like lando and flirted with him loads, so she didn’t really like you.

lando and his best friend, max fetwell, loved going on holiday to a place in comporta, portugal. it was called costa terra and had some villas and a pretty golf course as well as some onsite restaurants / food places, all while being beachside. lando had two weeknds off so decided to book it for him with max and pietra as you were busy with university.

however, magui also came.. she would always make it look like she was there with lando. when pietra and magui posted something so it would seem like a "double date holiday". but as always lando would never feed into the rumours and would deny if asked.

one day, you were in your dorm studying. you took a break and went on instagram. magui posted to her story. nothing big, a video of her and pietra surfing. but in the background, you heard lando say:

“vamos magui! crash.. crash!! double takeout.”

your heart shattered but you were angry. you immediately unfollowed him on instagram, petty but who cares.

straight away, gossip accounts picked up on this as there were always rumours you and lando were together and magui is a cover up. it went viral. the video with lando’s voice in the background and then you unfollowing lando.

within an hour, you had 2 missed calls from lando and 20+ messages.

after a bit, you reply and you decide to not go to comporta but he had to go to the MTC after so he would be england so you two would meet and talk.

it was that day — monday, 21st july. you were suppose to be going to belgium this weekend to watch him race and you weren’t sure on that either.

you met him in a coffee shop of campus at around 4pm. he was already there when you arrived. he was in some black joggers, a white t-shirt and a cap meanwhile you had a grey hoodie on and some blue jeans with your longchamp handbag on as you had just come from class.
