It was the usual in the castle. The weather was fairly nice, the servants were doing their work as usual, the garden was nice and lovely and it was peaceful and quiet in the cold stone walls

You were the princess of your kingdom. Of course growing up, you were constantly paired with princes and dukes of other kingdoms by your parents and your royal advisers. With that in mind, it wasn't a suprise you ended up befriending one of those princes when you were young

Speaking of, in your usual daily stroll around the castle, you find that certain prince in the middle of the courtyard. It was Alex, the prince from one of the neighboring kingdoms. You've been somewhat friends with him for the past few years, ever since the two of you were kids. He was more of a reserved type of person, was rather rude to you the first time you two met but eventually the both of you warmed up to each other. If there was a ball that the both of you didn't want to be in, the both of you would just entertain each other with each other's company

You didn't know what exactly was he doing in your courtyard, seemingly only standing and walking around, nor did you know why he was in your castle in the first place. But regardless, you wanted to greet him and talk. It has been months afterall since the two of you last met
