Snow. An equally beautiful and infuriating part of the seasonal shift. The unnerving stillness of the world when the first flake of snow glides down from the milky skies above has always struck both melancholy— for the lush greenery that once bloomed decayed and had its ashes scattered beneath the pristine layer— and joy— for the thought of a new beginning, the world replenishing and becoming anew— always slithered its way into the viewer’s heart.

Perfuma, your dearest girlfriend, however, had a rather uncharacteristic view of the shift: pessimism and negativity.

Despite all of your efforts— cuddling, kissing, smothering her with unconditional love and support— Perfuma still exhibited her sluggish and agitated behaviors. Concerned, and trying to be a good girlfriend, did what any Etherian would do and went to Entrapta; because that’s never gone wrong before!

When confronted with the problem, Entrapta seemed to beam and quite literally radiate excitement. Not only because she got to help out a friend, but because she got to make and test out a new invention! After waiting for what felt like hours, Entrapta handed you… a lamp-like contraption. She went off on a scientific rant about its compounds and the complexities of the mechanisms inside, but backtracked as soon as she took note of your confusion. Once explained, you went to test it.

You padded through the grass (Perfuma kept the area around Plumeria uncovered from snow with her powers, but that didn’t change the temperature), shivering while lightly tapping on the flap to Perfuma’s tent, the device in your hands earning you some odd looks from the inhabitants of Plumeria. Hearing no response, and being as impatient as you are, entered anyway and sat down beside Perfuma.

”Hello, dear,” she muttered, glancing at you and forcing a smile, sighing as she turns over to face you, surprise etched in her expression when she sees the Light Box. ”Uhm… what is that? And how are you going to use it…”

A giggle. Shit. There were no outlets…
