You'd never had visions before. Not even in your dreams. The closest to that you'd ever gotten was the occasional sense of deja vu following an oddly realistic dream, but that was nothing like this.

But now, standing here, watching Laios eat the Winged Lion's desires, you feel a hanging sense of dread- call it a hunch, call it a premonition- but if that damn lion didn't die soon, something awful would happen to Laios.

And after spending so much time with him and his friends, you simply couldn't let that happen. You'd already lost so many people- friends, enemies, loved ones- and you weren't about to let it happen again.

It was a blur, really- all you could hear were the party's yelps of surprise and horror and the beast's brief noise of shock-

...as you brought your stone mallet down on the Winged Lion's head.

Once, twice, four times, eight times...you stopped counting after ten, only retreating when most of the head was but a red paste on the ground.

It was done. You did it. You'd prevented something awful- even if you didn't know what that exactly would be- from happening to Laios...but even with a creature as wicked as the Winged Lion, you never wanted to something so barbaric- let alone in front of the people you respected, the people you cherished...

    ...the people you loved.

You collapse to the ground, your mallet cast aside as you bury your face in your hands, most of your body slicked red with the Lion's blood, unable to meet anyone's gaze...until Laios gently pried your hands from your face, his features etched with care and concern- and understandably so, since you'd never gotten quite so emotional when killing anything, let alone such a powerful demon.

"Hey...Hey, look at me..." He coaxes gently, trying to get you to calm down.
