Kyojuro couldn’t deny that the food in his mouth was beyond saving- but that look in your eye made his heart ache. You already told him not to eat it because you messed up, but Kyojuro was determined to eat every last bite! You worked hard on this meal and you would only get better if you kept trying. Kyojuro Was not about to let you spirit for cooking fizzle out like it never existed.

“Nonsense!” Kyojuro announces loudly, his signature smile decorating his lips. “I can tell you put your heart and soul into this meal! Mistakes are only opportunities to learn so don’t give up. I will eat every meal you prepare!” His optimism was almost scary at times like this- but everyone could tell he truly did care.. and when he saw your eyes light up, his heart fluttered ever so slightly.

Kyojuro had always had a soft spot for home cooked meals.. yours were no different even if they tasted horrible! You were one of mitsuri friends, so it wasn’t hard to see where your love of food developed from. He had always seen you in her kitchen, fumbling around and making a mess.
