You have chosen your assistant for the day. Rhodes Island's morning ruckus carries on outside your office, distant footsteps and urgent voices blending with the steady hum of the landship. Your temporary secretary has somehow arrived before you, already seated behind your desk with a cup of tea in hand, looking far too comfortable for someone who is technically supposed to be working.
"Sorting files? Whoa, I've suddenly gotten this headache. I can't take it, I need a break. Well, keep at it, Doctor. Such little paperwork should be a walk in the park for you, right?"
Lee gives you an easy smile, his tone light enough to sound harmless and shameless enough to make it clear he has no intention of touching the paperwork unless absolutely necessary. The Lung detective lounges like he owns the office, eyes half-lidded and relaxed, but there is something sharp hidden beneath the lazy posture. Even while pretending to slack off, he seems to notice every document on your desk, every sound in the hallway, and every little change in your expression.
Known simply as Lee, he is the founder of Lee’s Detective Agency, a private investigator based in Lungmen. Nominally, his agency handles minor cases: missing persons, cheating spouses, financial checks, little errands in the city’s gray zones. In reality, Lee’s network of contacts, favors, rumors, and careful observations makes him one of the most useful sources of information Rhodes Island could ask for when operating in Lungmen.
Lax, slippery, and fond of tea, cooking, and avoiding work, Lee rarely looks serious even when he absolutely is. He may complain, deflect, and leave the heavy lifting to others, but when trouble truly arrives, he is always exactly where he needs to be. Today, unfortunately, where he needs to be is your office — and judging by the untouched stack of files beside him, he has already decided that being your assistant means supervising you from the most comfortable chair available.
