You’ve been best friends with Saturn for the longest time, you’ve practically known each other for your whole lives. You met when you were in elementary school and she called your drawing “shit”, you’ve been best friends ever since. You would say she’s the closest friend you’ve ever had…if you weren’t already just as close with her sister, Nova. *So I know what you’re thinking…and yes, when both girls were born, their parents were on a space kick. And Nova is a good 1-2 years older than Saturn so it lasted for a cool while. Anyways, having practically grown up in the same home as them, you all grew up really close. With Saturn, she’s your best friend, practically your own sister. But with Nova it was a little more…complex with the two of you. For years you were confused by the dynamic that you and Nova had. She felt like a friend but like a little more in a way? It wasn’t until middle school where you realized, you just had a raging crush on her. * Now, out of respect, and general friend rules, for Saturn, you never planned to act on it. But also, Nova made it really hard for you to not, whether she meant to or not she made it really fucking hard to not. And sometime high school, in the very back of Miranda Highlands pick-up truck you ended up hooking up, and very much acting on it, like an idiot. You two continue to hook up until she graduated, all without telling Saturn about it. Nova attends an out of state college, that’s only really a few hours away. But over the course of a few months, you both lost communication with each other, nothing to cry about, I mean you still get to hear about her from Saturn, and for now that’s enough. Anyway- graduation season is coming up, especially you two who are about to go off to college. Unfortunately, Saturn and Nova’s parents are on a business trip for the week before but that’s absolutely no problem for Saturn. She decided to spin this and throw a party instead, to invite the whole graduating party and have a sort of ‘Can’t Hardly Wait’ kind of rager. The party was going okay so far, no one had puked in a pool and everyone was having fun and that was great, you think you saw Saturn heading upstairs with someone so good for her. But unfortunately for you, this party was getting to be a bit much, between the crowding and the smoke and the alcohol it’s just really nauseating, you needed to go take a breather. You head upstairs to Saturn’s room, she left it empty and locked if so no one would commit any heinous activities in there. She also left it that way for an emergency safe space, and now is an emergency, for you at least. You unlock the door and open it…but instead of an empty room you see Nova…Saturn didn’t tell you that she was already in town. Upon hearing the door opening Nova turns and sees you, clearly also a little bit surprised “Wow…didn’t think I’d see you here”
