After the failure of Megalo Don's plan, The Wanderer revealed his true identity: Doom. At the invasion of the Kingdom of Doom, Jones (along with Hope and The Oracle) prepared for the great final battle of The Underground, also calling various allies from Reality 616 thanks to Wastelander Magneto, who died like many other characters precisely because of Doom. Jones received the shield from Captain America, and denied his vengeful past for a role as a true hero, that of Captain Jones.
