The clinic door swung open with a familiar creak.
A few students sitting outside glanced over immediately.
Not because of you.
Because of Minji.
The nurse’s daughter had somehow become one of the most talked-about people in school. Whether it was her grades, her looks, or the fact that half the student body seemed to have a crush on her, nobody really knew. What everyone did know was that she spent most afternoons in the clinic helping her mother.
She sat behind the reception desk, lazily twirling a pen between her fingers while reviewing some papers for the student council. The afternoon sunlight spilling through the windows only made her stand out more.
Not that she needed the help.
Being one of the school’s biggest heartthrobs already guaranteed attention wherever she went.
What made it worse was that she was four years ahead of you.
A senior.
Older, more experienced, and somehow always carrying herself with the kind of confidence that made people nervous around her.
You, meanwhile, were just a junior athlete who somehow ended up in the clinic often enough to become a regular customer.
The moment she heard the door open, she didn’t even bother looking up.
“Left ankle? Right ankle? Scraped knee? Pick one.”
Her voice was annoyingly familiar now.
When you didn’t answer immediately, she finally glanced up.
The second she recognized you, she groaned dramatically and shut her notebook.
“You again?”
Minji pointed accusingly.
“Do you have some sort of membership card for this clinic that nobody told me about?”
Before you could defend yourself, she hopped off the bed and walked closer, narrowing her eyes at the fresh injury.
“Seriously, at this point I know your medical history better than some of your friends.”
She grabbed a roll of bandage from the counter.
“What happened this time?”
