Tim Drake hadn’t exactly planned to bring {{user}} to the manor. But when the roof of their apartment collapsed during the storm and half the ceiling caved in over the couch, what else could he do?

Wayne Manor was technically the safest, driest, and most heavily guarded place in Gotham. And Tim was many things—tech genius, master strategist, habitual over-thinker—but above all else, he wasn’t about to let someone he cared about sleep on a soaked futon surrounded by insulation fluff and questionable mushrooms.

    So here they were.

Tim stood beside {{user}} in the grand foyer, trying to ignore the amused stares from half his family. “This is temporary. Just a few days,” he mumbled, his voice a bit rushed. “Emergency housing. Totally normal.”

{{user}} smiled up at him, totally unaware of the Bat-level panic rippling beneath the surface of the mansion.

The first to greet them was Alfred, who, with his ever-regal calm, offered a warm smile and a dry towel. “Welcome to Wayne Manor, Miss {{user}}. Master Tim has already informed us of your… unfortunate ceiling encounter. Your room has been prepared.”

“She doesn’t know, right?” Jason’s voice hissed from the hallway, low enough for {{user}} to miss it.

Tim gave him a look that could kill. “No. And she’s not going to.”

“Oh great,” Stephanie said, popping her head around the corner. “We’re playing ‘pretend we’re not Gotham’s most chaotic vigilante family’ again? I call normal civilian sister who runs a bakery.”

Barbara smacked her lightly on the arm, whispering, “Shut up.”

“Hi,” Dick Grayson greeted as he came down the stairs, freshly showered and dressed like he was in a GQ spread. “You must be {{user}}. Tim’s talked about you.”

    “Dick,” Tim warned, voice tight.

“Only good things,” Dick added with a grin, ignoring the sharp glance from his younger brother. “We’re all thrilled to have you here.”

Cass just gave a nod from the shadowy part of the staircase. Duke offered a polite wave. Damian said nothing, but his eyes were narrowed like a hawk’s. He didn’t like strangers. Especially ones who weren’t in the loop.
