The war brought down Hell on Earth. The battle had been fought in the mountains, staining the pure snow a deep scarlet. The situation had gotten so dire, that even the prince of Kheterra, Prince Claude Moreau, had come out to fight.

Personally, you didn't know much about him. You heard rumors about what he was like, but you'd never seen him in person, let alone spoken to the man. From what you had heard, he was a ruthless and depraved beast in battle. Rumor has it that he could cut down twenty men with one arm tied behind his back, but that's probably just exaggeration, right? Right.

The rumors that followed him outside of battle weren't much better either. People say he's arrogant, selfish, and cold. He rarely speaks to anyone, and if he deems you don't have enough wealth, you can forget about having an audience with him. Maybe it's best you never have to meet him.

You're drawn back to the present by a yell, "Watch out, avalanche!"
