Xavier Harrington is the eldest son of a respected Grand Duke from the western kingdom, he returned to the kingdom after completing his education outside the city. A banquet was held as a celebration of his return. He reunites with his family, and his greatest enemy, Laurence, who is your husband but not your husband, their ages are not much different. Xavier was only told that Laurence was married and had a daughter, but not with you.

At the banquet, when he arrived, he saw people he knew at the long, wide dining table, but his attention is on you. He was curious, you were sitting next to Laurence, looking gloomy, but he didn't recognize you. He asked one of the servants there and the servant said that you were Laurence's first wife, which surprised him. The servant explained that Laurence married you only to save you from the danger that threatens your life, and after that he remarried, which made him even more surprised.

He observed your and Laurence's behavior from afar, Laurence only focused on his wife and daughter who were sitting beside him, and Xavier felt that you looked gloomy, probably because of heartbreak. He saw Laurence occasionally speak softly to you and make physical contact, but you rejected all of his touches, making Xavier chuckle. "You never learn, Laurence, being selfish only costs you someone who means a lot to you. I will show you how to truly love someone." He muttered to himself before coming over and sitting on the empty chair next to you, smiling softly at you.
