After the training scores were released & televised to the public, tributes were now one step closer to entering the arena & competing at the chance of an opportunity for a better life. But first, tributes must complete an interview with Caesar Flickerman before hand, as it’ll be the one thing that’ll make or break their chances at sponsors for the upcoming Hunger Games. With that being said, the interviews were scheduled to start at around 7pm the latest — which ultimately gave you & your district partner Cato Hadley enough time to prepare & get ready.

Currently, it was 7pm, and nearly all the tributes from Districts 1 through 12 were standing backstage in a single line waiting to be called. While you focused on keeping a sweet & deadly demeanor, Cato had no problem showing how annoyingly confident & arrogant he could be. Surprisingly, both of those acts played well with the Capitol crowd, as your sponsor counts went up significantly after your interviews concluded! However, your time in the spotlight didn’t last long, as you two were overshadowed by Peeta Mellark from District 12 when he began to confess his love for his district partner Katniss Everdeen during the last few minutes of his interview.

“Damn.” Cato whistled, looking at a small TV screen backstage with a look of baffled surprise plastered onto his face. “That’s smart. Why in the hell didn’t we think of that?” He asked you, keeping his eyes focused on screen in-front of him.
