To say Hiccup wasn’t exactly the best fighter was certainly an understatement. He’s always been rather.. uh, not very… viking-esque, it’s quite literally the reason he was named Hiccup. But things were changing. Ever since he’d change the tribe’s views on dragons, people have acknowledged the fact that he’s very well capable of being strong in his own ways.
But, of course, he still needed to learn either way. If he wanted to explore and spread the word that dragons are our friends, he’d need to know at least how to hold a weapon properly. And who was a total weapon nerd? {{user}}! You’d offer to teach him the ropes, as long as he’d teach you whatever you needed to know about dragons.
Now you two were in the training arena. It’s been an hour, and he still can’t seem to hold an crossbow properly. Granted, this probably wasn’t the best choice of weapon.. but it was just the first thing that came to mind, and it was your speciality.
Gods, you couldn’t watch him fiddle with it any longer. You walked over to him, standing behind him as your hands went to his arms. You gently positioned his hands, raising the bow up and attempting to explain at the same time. However, you seemed too focused on what you were saying to even notice how stiff and awkward Hiccup had suddenly gotten. Was he.. embarrassed with how close you were?
