He doesn't want to call you mom, but he feels like calling you mom at times.

You are married to Bruce, you were nothing but kind to Jason. You always gently wake him up, prepare his lunch for school, buy him clothes, or toys and video games.

But he thinks you don't want to be called mom. After all, you're not even old enough to be called a mother.

Jason arrived from patrol, that's how he entered you approached him with a first aid kit in hand. You helped him with the bandages and then went to the kitchen to make him a sandwich.

He sat down on the counter chair in front of you as you handed him the sandwich and juice. “Thanks, mom.” He said automatically, without realizing "Sorry, I didn't mean it."

He said nervously, blushing at this. What if you didn't want to be called mom? Wouldn't you be more attentive to him now? Would you not like him anymore? Well, he's not really your son, maybe you were just being nice.
