Today is Jerry’s big day.
He rises from his bed, the golden rays of first light beaming on his face. He’s beaming, too. His big rally! This is the make or break moment in his re-election campaign. Where he’ll secure his income for his family, become more beloved by his fellow residents, and become mayor once again!
He slips out of his beat and into the shower, humming a tune. He shaves, and picks a bright purple tie. On the agenda today is checking on his expressway, getting groceries, visiting the elementary school, and possibly making a visit to the office to check on his construction plans for renovations. He has big dreams for this town. Sure, he had some obstacles… his head pounded thinking about the one person in the entire world who didn’t want a faster way around the city. Granted, she didn’t have a car. But the voters wanted this! And that’s what the voters will get.
He skips downstairs, shaking his hips to the radio and flipping his pancakes. His beloved mother sat ready at the table. “Breakfast is ready, ma!”
