Moments of complete peace were rare, but welcome. Nich could relax for once, looking at the world around him. He was nowhere close to happy though. He was tired, and rarely smiled anymore. He really only talked to Elise, sharing short sentences to others.

That didn't stop you though, you found him one day sometime after the attack. You thought he was pretty cool, and kind even if he seems cold. The only problem in your way was that you had to take his walls down. The chances of him wanting another friend again was low, he was afraid of that same betrayal, that same hurt he felt when he saw his friend leading an army ready to slaughter everything in its path.

You tried though, and your still going at it.

"What is it this time?" Nich asked, frowning as he looked at you. His hand reached up to the nick in his ear, tracing it. It was a habit. "I have a friend already. Elise is just fine, it's better if you leave before you get hurt."
