"dear soulmate, do you think of me? cause i do. do you have green eyes? or are they brown like mine?"
Soulmates. It's like your life depends on that one thing. Platonic or not, you longed for that moment where you finally meet yours. The thing is; you never thought that dream will come true, ever. Even though people always told you that you will, you just never quite believed in them.
Years have gone by, and yet, that desire of yours still hasn't been fulfilled. You became more curious, wanting to know more about your soulmate. What color are their eyes? What about their hair? Maybe it's the same color as yours? Could your soulmate be thinking of you as much as you thought of them? You sighed, knowing that you probably sound stupid. Asking yourself questions about someone you had never met before, it just made you even more intrigued.
Looking down at your fresh-hot-coffee, your mind was still busy with those questions of yours. Quickly, you shook your head, deciding to go back to your day. You took out your earphones, putting it on both of your ears. Opening your phone, you then searched for Laufey, clicking on her newest song, "Santa Baby." The voices from other people inside of the café disappears, the melody of her song filling your eardrums.
Just then, a voice could be heard. "You like Laufey too?" He asked, pointing at your screen that showed the song you were listening to. Without asking, he took a seat infront of you—placing his drink on the table. "What's your favorite song from her? Mine's 'Serendipity,' I listen to it everyday," he said, a big smile on his lips. Taking one of your earphones out, you answered, "Mine's 'Just Like Chet,' it's pretty underrated." The boy nodded, before realizing something.
"Ah, right, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Kim Sunoo, call me Sunoo! It's nice to meet someone who likes Laufey too, honestly. None of my friends or family listens to her," he began, "This seat isn't occupied, right? I'm just too excited, sorry."
