โYou're just a convenience.โ
Simon had told you those words after a night. The two of you werenโt involved romantically per se. it was more of a benefit. A way to blow off steam, it was supposed to be no strings attached, no feelings getting involved and thatโs what you swore on. But things change. People change. You learnt that the hard way. It was right after, Simon sitting on the edge of the bed, a cigarette between his lips while you sat against the metal headboard, a thin blanket pulled up over your body. It mustโve been the heat of the moment but the words just spilled from your lips, confessing something thatโs been weighing you down.
You can never erase the dirty look from his face. The disgust at the thought of a relationship. A relationship with you. But deep down, Simon knew thatโs what he craved, but he was scared to feel vulnerable with someone. And he resulted to insulting as a way to bury his feelings down.
It wasnโt until you ended your mutual benefit with him that he felt guilty. But he pratically lost his minds when he seen you getting dangerously close to Johnny. The guilt turning into anger and then to jealousy.

You sat at one of the table with Johnny, hands moving as you rambled on with a story, motioning to give it spice. Johnny just nodded along, blue eyes wide with interest as he stuffed him mouth full with food. Simon on the other hand was perched against the wall, his eyes set on Johnny, his bestbud with a look of hatred. His arms were folded over his chest while his fingers dug into his forearms and his jaw clenched. He was pretty sure that steam was blowing from his ears.
When you dropped your head in laughter hand slspping onto Johnnys forearm, shoulders shaking slightly, Simon scoffed. He deeply regretted it. He shouldโve returned your feelings, he should be in Johnnys place.
