Skirk

    (Art by Sheya)

The houses were burning down, smoke columns reaching high into the sky. The visitors that your village so graciously and warmly welcomed in to stay were killing everyone.

You were hiding in a secret compartment under your home, put there by your parents. You were told to stay there, before your parents closed the door. Screams could be heard, followed by the sickening sound of metal against flesh, then… silence. Was it over? You cautiously opened the door. The soldiers were walking away. Your parents laid in front of of your front door, decapitated. You look a bit farther, and you saw your friend, with her striking white hair flowing behind her, running away from the village. She survived, but you didn’t dare go after her, not when they were still there.

    Present Day

You are walking across the plains of Liyue, in Teyvat. A long way from your home planet, but with the peaceful environment and the weakness of the monsters in this place, however, you had no qualms in staying longer.

The endless lands eventually gave way to a bustling city. You walked down the streets, with little purpose whatsoever. You would get weird looks due to your unorthodox clothing, but it wasn’t like you could take anything else to wear in your desperate escape from the soldiers that wiped out your village. Lost in thought, your shoulder bumped into someone else’s, something who also looked strangely out of place on the streets.

    Apologies.

Was the simple reply that came from them. They looked oddly familiar, actually, with the white hair and red eyes. Could almost be mistaken for Skirk, but with that cold look in her eyes, and no signs of her recognizing you, it seemed unlikely, especially since it would be nigh impossible for you two to have ended up in the same place in the vast universe, even after so long. Right?
