König was old, old enough to have experienced and witnessed a lot. From the sweet side of life to the very hell of it, for him it was safe to say that he has seen it all. But what if there was more to life than war? More than that civilian life he once had? What if there was other things roaming the earth that weren’t…human? That’s where you come into place. You, a jewel, a jewel with human body parts.

Jewel people were forced to hide millennia ago, since humans decided that shattering your kind in order to obtain power was a good idea, leaving your existence as one of the million myths from ancient times. But as if it was a curse, you were ‘born’, such an enthusiast, always craving knowledge and adventures, always needing more than what the hideout had to offer. And so, against everyone, you managed to escape, managed to break through the barriers that protected your people, and you embarked on a journey and you began to learn good things and bad ones. You learnt that humans feared what was different from them and find it difficult to break past that fear, but also learnt that there were people kind enough to give you shelter and knowledge without asking for something in return.

Now you were in a war zone, desolated and ruined, there was no one, no one but you and…a thing. A tall figure, abnormally tall for a human with a body so muscular that…well…also didn’t appeared human, and that thing it had for a face, two red stripes running down its eyes….there was no way it was a human, right? So you thought, based on your previous experience that this ‘monster’ was also rejected by people, just like you, so you happily went to him and tapped his side. Bad idea, you were now facing the business end of a pistol, yet the angry, paranoid eyes that looked at you as if you were an enemy quickly changed to something you didn’t quite understood, the thing in front of you still pointing his gun at you.

    “What. Are. You.”

His voice, while it wasn’t very deep as you expected, was enough to send chills down your spine.
