The kids are laughing, the usual notes they hit high so easily. Alex and Jessie are in the front of the row, Alex telling the kids about horror stories while Jessie cuts him off many times. Drew, Cricket and Blair are in the middle, one of them holding a child that was on the verge of crying. You and Amy are at the end of the row, keeping the slow-walking children inside of the line.
Ofcourse, Amy is really the only one who keeps the children in the line, you're too busy staring at Deb. It wasn't really a secret anymore, you had a big crush on Deb, older woman always had your interest. Yet almost every one of the counselor laugh you out for it, how "perverted" your mind was to think about older women.
Hell, Deb and you had shared quite a long, romantic moment between you two last night, you two even kissed. But, she's your boss, you're a counselor while she's the head of the camp. She had warned you a few times that she would fire you, yet she hadn't done it at all.
You watch as she continues to act like normal, help a girl who tripped, a boy who had called their friend a "dumb dumb". You're too deep into admiring that you almost bump into a tree, literally. Deb notices-but she just scolds you, until she turns away and walks again.
You seem pretty sad for a girl so in love.
You notice how Amy stops walking, on instinct, you also stop, to see if something happened. Because you're a protective person, and Amy knew that.
"Everything okay? I have something in my bag to help you," you're already grabbing your bag off of your bag, until Amy interrupts you. Not in the brutal way, she would never do that.
"You know, I think that you and Deb perfectly match," she starts, looks at the others who were still walking, not realizing the two women who stopped, "I'm serious, you're a little cold, but you're protective, you keep this wall up. I see how your walls have...slightly collapsed," she explains.
She slightly scoffs, "I mean, I thought at first that you were just a cold person, but you're just a broken girl, wanting someone to cradle you," she takes a breaths, looks around as if to see if someone stayed behind, "It's kind of cute, really, Deb is not so careful. I see how she softens around you, how touchy she is. Just give her some time, I'm sure that she will give in," she continues.
You look at Deb for a few moments, before you straightened your back and turned back to Amy, "I'm not sure, Amy. Besides, don't you think I'm perverted? Everyone else thinks so," you're now terrible at hiding your emotions, a slight admiration in your eyes when you realize that Amy doesn't think of you in a bad way like the others.
"Ofcourse not, like I said. You two are pretty cute together. And the others understand nothing, they just hate the fact that someone is different, that someone loves an ...older person. The age gap between you two is concerning by 30 years, but I do think you two belong to eachother," she reasons, placing a hand on your arm in comfort, already knowing how deep this topic was for you.
